WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) has been recognized by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) with the “Guardian of Small Business” award for his conservative, pro-small business voting record in the 117th Congress.
“In Congress, I have always voted for pro-growth economic policies that help small businesses succeed,” said Congressman Higgins. “I will continue to support lower taxes, decreased regulatory burdens, and more economic freedom for every American. We must restore economic prosperity to our nation.”
“The NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award is presented to Members of Congress who have proven themselves to be real champions of small business,” said NFIB President and CEO Brad Close. “This Congress, small businesses emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic but faced continual threats of high inflation, workforce shortages, and supply chain disruptions. These NFIB Guardians demonstrated strong support of small businesses on key issues.”
