LAFAYETTE, LA – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today Conrad Shipyard and Bollinger Marine Fabricators will receive over $1.5 million for equipment and infrastructure upgrades at their facilities in Amelia, LA. The funds are made available through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) Small Shipyard Grant Program.
Conrad Shipyard will receive $432,376 to support the purchase of two portable shelters for a fabrication/pipe work area and a blast/paint work area. Bollinger Marine Fabricators will receive $1,122,216 to support the purchase of a blast and paint plate preservation line machine.
