LAFAYETTE, LA – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will receive $300,000 in funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) to help support regional economic development efforts in response to COVID-19. The funding is provided as part of EDA’s CARES Act Recovery Assistance program.
Congressman Higgins issued the following statement:
“UL Lafayette plays an important role in our regional economic recovery efforts. Their research, assistance to local businesses, and support for workforce training are essential. This grant helps with that effort and will lead to a stronger, more diverse economy for South Louisiana.”
