WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) issued the following statement in support of the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse the nationwide injunction on pipeline construction activity under Nationwide Permit 12 (NWP 12) issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
“Pipeline infrastructure is critical for America’s energy industry. This decision allows pipeline projects across the country to move forward. That means new jobs, greater economic growth, and a more energy independent America.”
In May, Congressman Higgins joined the House Energy Action Team (HEAT) on a joint letter to Attorney General William Barr in support of overturning the injunction. Read that letter here.
