WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) issued the following statement after President Trump announced that the European Union (EU) agreed to lower tariffs on American-produced goods and increase LNG and soybean exports to Europe.
“President Trump is taking historic action to end unfair trading practices and reduce America’s trade deficit. Today’s announcement that the European Union will open new export markets for U.S. LNG producers and soybean farmers is a huge win for Louisiana. This provides economic security for American farmers and American industry, who will now have greater opportunity to compete and win on a global scale. My office will continue to work with President Trump and his administration for the betterment of Louisiana and America.”
