WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.Con.Res. 71, establishing the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2018 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2019 through 2027.
“This budget is a major victory for tax reform, allowing our plan to move forward under the reconciliation process. Historic tax reform is one step closer to becoming reality, and I’m committed to delivering tax relief for everyday American families. More jobs, larger paychecks for hard-working families, a greatly simplified tax code and incentive for economic growth in the small business sector. That’s our focus.”
