WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) issued the following statement after cosponsoring and voting in support of H. Res. 832, a resolution rebuking Speaker Pelosi for ripping up an official copy of President Trump’s State of the Union remarks.
“Pelosi’s actions embody the extreme hate and vitriol that has consumed Democrats in Congress. Her behavior is reflective of a party that is out of ideas and resentful of America’s success under President Trump. Now that impeachment is over, we should move past this division and work together for the American people.”
