WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that FEMA will award $50,782,500 to the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury for debris removal operations in response to Hurricane Laura.
Congressman Higgins issued the following statement:
“Hurricanes Laura and Delta devastated Southwest Louisiana. Recovery operations are ongoing, including the removal and proper disposal of significant debris. This investment supports those recovery efforts and provides much-needed federal assistance. I will continue working to ensure South Louisiana has every resource necessary to rebuild and recover.”
