LAKE CHARLES, LA – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that FEMA will award an additional $7,428,192.48 for hurricane recovery efforts in South Louisiana.
The reimbursements include:
- $2,058,454.26 to the Lake Charles Harbor & Terminal District (Port of Lake Charles) for permanent work to Ship Loader #1, which was damaged as a result of Hurricane Laura. The reimbursement is made at a 90% federal cost-share.
- $5,369,738.22 to the Lake Charles Harbor & Terminal District (Port of Lake Charles) for permanent work to Ship Loader #2, which was damaged as a result of Hurricane Laura. The reimbursement is made at a 90% federal cost-share.
All funding will be delivered to the State of Louisiana. The state is responsible for disbursing the funds to each sub-recipient.
