WESTLAKE, LA – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that FEMA will award an additional $5,748,069.04 for hurricane recovery efforts in South Louisiana.
The reimbursements include:
- $4,161,248.46 to the city of Westlake for debris removal operations in response to Hurricane Laura. The reimbursement is made at a 90% federal cost-share.
- $1,586,820.58 to the city of Westlake for debris removal operations in response to Hurricane Laura. The reimbursement is made at a 100% federal cost-share.
All funding will be delivered to the State of Louisiana. The state is responsible for disbursing the funds to each sub-recipient.
