LAKE CHARLES, LA – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that FEMA will award $3,472,704.27 to the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury for Hurricane Laura recovery efforts. The grant will cover management costs related to the parish’s utilization of FEMA public assistance programs.
This grant brings the total amount of federal money provided to Louisiana for Hurricanes Laura and Delta disaster recovery to over $1.29 billion.
Congressman Higgins issued the following statement:
“These funds are part of well over $1 billion in federal disaster assistance that has been provided in response to Hurricanes Laura and Delta. My office will continue to push for additional long-term recovery resources at the federal level. Our recovery mission is ongoing.”
