WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that FEMA will award $1,698,457.51 to the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury for debris clearance from roads and emergency access routes in response to Hurricane Laura. The reimbursement is made at a 100% federal cost-share.
Congressman Higgins issued the following statement:
“Ensuring that reimbursements for hurricane response expenses are processed in a timely manner is critical to continued recovery efforts. This latest round of federal support will help ease financial burdens and boost the larger recovery effort in Calcasieu Parish.”
