WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) and Congresswoman Julia Letlow (R-LA) introduced H.Res. 1210 to commemorate this year’s National Police Week and honor America’s state and local law enforcement officers.
The resolution condemns the Biden border crisis and recognizes the unwavering commitment and resilience of our state and local law enforcement personnel as they face the tremendous burdens of the crisis.
“Biden’s failure to enforce immigration laws and secure our border has brought generational trauma upon our nation,” said Congressman Higgins. “This resolution pays tribute to our state and local law enforcement officers who have worked hard to respond to increased criminal activity resulting from the border crisis. Their devotion and service to their communities are integral to our national security. I will always stand with my Brothers and Sisters of the Thin Blue Line.”
“The brave men and women that make up our law enforcement and border patrol get up each day to defend our nation’s borders with unwavering dedication and courage,” said Congresswoman Letlow. “This resolution I’m introducing alongside my colleague, Rep. Higgins, honors our law enforcement officers for their devotion to keeping our communities safe, during a time in our nation when our law enforcement has felt the impact of the lack of border protection as a result of the Biden administration’s border policies. Today and every day we stand with the men and women in uniform and their dedication and courage to protect our communities.”
