WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) released the following statement in response to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed rule to repeal the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) regulation.
“No state has been more impacted by the EPA’s injurious regulations during the Obama Administration than Louisiana. The Waters of the United States rule represents a clear example of the kind of federal overreach and onerous regulations that were designed to grow the federal government, restrict the People’s freedoms, and devour the People’s treasure. Repealing these regulations reflects my Constitutionalist ideology, restores powers to the 50 sovereign states, and restores every Americans right to manage our own land.”
