Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that he is accepting applications for summer internship positions in the Washington D.C. and Lafayette offices.
Internship positions provide college-aged students with the opportunity to gain valuable skills and insight into the daily functions of a congressional office. Interns assist staff with daily operations, including constituent services, the legislative process, government policy, and media outreach.
All internship positions are unpaid, but college credit may be available. To be eligible for a Washington D.C. internship, applicants must be 21 years of age before the internship start date. To be eligible for a Lafayette office internship, applicants must be 18 years of age before the start date.
Session I: May 29 – June 29, 2018 (deadline to apply is March 30, 2018)
Session II: July 2- August 3, 2018 (deadline to apply is April 30, 2018)
To apply and for more information, applicants can visit /services/internships or contact the Washington D.C. office at (202) 225-2031.
