WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) recently received the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s “Friend of the Family” award for his conservative voting record during the 116th Congress.
The award is presented to members of Congress who have a proven record of protecting life, strengthening American families, defending religious liberty, and standing with Israel.
“I am honored to receive this award from the Faith & Freedom Coalition. Our office continues to be recognized as one of the most conservative in Congress,” said Congressman Higgins. “We remain committed to conservative and Constitutionalist values. These core principles will continue to guide our mission.”
“The Faith & Freedom Coalition is dedicated to equipping conservative Christians to make educated voting decisions in line with their beliefs and convictions. When they’ve elected exemplary Senators and Representatives, it is important to highlight their accomplishments and commitment to conservative values,” said Faith & Freedom Coalition Executive Director Timothy Head. “We need individuals in Congress who are going to vote according to their constituents’ values consistently, and those receiving the Friends of the Family Award have done just that.”
The Faith and Freedom Coalition is a national grassroots movement of over 2 million conservatives and people of faith in support of time-honored values, stronger families, and individual freedom. Learn more here.
