WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that he will return as a top Republican to the House Oversight & Accountability Committee for the 118th Congress.
The Committee focuses on reducing government waste, fraud, and abuse by ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent effectively, efficiently, and transparently.
Congressman Higgins will continue to use his strong background in law enforcement and criminal investigation as the Committee focuses on investigating the Biden border crisis, pandemic relief fraud, the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, our nation’s energy crisis, origins of COVID, and the Biden family’s influence peddling.
“I am honored to join Chairman Comer and my colleagues once again on the Oversight Committee, we are the point of the spear in the House. The hearings we conduct will reveal deep truth to We the People, uncomfortable truth. America will be stunned by the corruption we expose,” said Congressman Higgins. “Some of the most focused Constitutionalists in the House of Representatives serve on the Oversight Committee, and our investigative authority is very powerful. We’ve been interviewing whistleblowers for months and harvesting evidence for over two years. Many compromised government employees and agents will suddenly retire. They can run, but they can’t hide.”
