Washington, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) voted to pass H.R. 139, Stopping Home Office Work’s Unproductive Problems (SHOW UP) Act, which would require federal employees to return to their worksites to enhance agency performance.
“The reinstatement of pre-COVID work policies is long overdue. Since 2020, federal workers have created massive delays in Veteran, IRS, Social Security, U.S. passport, and immigration casework. After Hurricanes Laura and Delta, Louisiana citizens endured significant failures from FEMA because most government employees were not working from their offices. United States government workers must be responsive to the needs of the American people. All federal employees should return to in-office work so that the government can fulfill the obligation of serving every citizen across America.”
Congressman Higgins is an original co-sponsor of H.R. 139.
