WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that the FAA is awarding $6,939,239.00 in federal grant funding for the Lake Charles Regional Airport.
This funding would reconstruct two existing hangars used for aircraft service and storage to assist the airport, expand the non-revenue generating airport parking lot, and construct a maintenance shop building to house maintenance equipment.
“Economic prosperity for SW Louisiana requires expansion and modernization of our airports.” said Congressman Higgins. “This grant funding provides the airport with much-needed resources to upgrade and expand its facilities so that we can continue to serve our communities and this great nation.”
