WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury will receive a $2,719,840.00 million Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant from FEMA.
- $2,719,840 for the elevation of seven properties and the acquisition of four residential properties in Calcasieu Parish. This funding is made at 100% federal cost share.
Funding for the FMA grant program is made available through regular Congressional appropriations. Our office works continuously with the House Appropriations Committee to prioritize Louisiana projects and ensure funding for disaster and flood mitigation programs.
