LAFAYETTE, LA – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) delivered a letter to Danny Hughes, the Area President for the Americas of Hilton, demanding a full accounting of how the corporation is addressing reports that a Minneapolis-area Hilton hotel denied service to federal immigration enforcement officers.

“Please provide my office with a written response detailing how Hilton is addressing this matter, including any punitive measures being issued to the independent operator of the hotel in question and the actions being taken to ensure similar incidents do not occur in the future,” said Rep. Higgins.

“Hilton doesn’t get to be an international hotel giant employing ‘500,000 team members’ worldwide when it’s convenient for federal government consideration and then hide behind the actions of independent operators when facing scrutiny. My office strongly opposes any corporate policy that would unjustly deny service to DHS and ICE agents. This matter must be addressed and fully clarified swiftly,” continued Rep. Higgins.
