WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced his full support for Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, which has already delivered strong results with greater success anticipated. 


So far, the Oversight Committee’s investigation has: 

  • Requested all U.S. Department of Justice documents related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell with a binding subpoena.
  • Requested all documents from the Epstein estate related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell with a subpoena that has the force of law. 
  • Issued 11 deposition subpoenas for testimony. 
  • Requested Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s bank records from the U.S. Department of Treasury.
  • Received and made public approximately 34,000 pages from the U.S. Department of Justice, with more forthcoming. 
  • Taken one deposition.
  • Released over 33,000 pages of Epstein-related records that were provided by the U.S. Department ofJustice.


Congressman Higgins issued the following statement: 

“Chairman Comer’s full-scale investigation into the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell is the best option before us to reveal the horrors of the most notorious child predator of our time. This is a crucial investigative mission, and I’m confident that with the support of the White House and full legislative authority, the truth will be disclosed to We the People. I will be a lead investigator in the Oversight Committee’s investigation, and the American people know that I will not hold back.”

Congressman Higgins is a senior Republican member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. As Chairman of its Subcommittee on Federal Law Enforcement, Congressman Higgins has helped guide the Republican effort to find justice by issuing the first Epstein-related subpoena to the U.S. Department of Justice. This subpoena directed the DOJ to deliver the Epstein files, including files related to high-ranking officials like Former President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton, as well as any communications the Biden Administration had with the DOJ in relation to Jeffrey Epstein.
