WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) joined members of the House Freedom Caucus (HFC) in introducing the Emergency Border Control Resolution, which is a budget to begin the reconciliation process and deliver on the America First agenda.

“The House Freedom Caucus has hammered out this strategy over the course of months. The details of our bill have been heavily examined and perfected for weeks by many experts. If my Republican colleagues expect to actually deliver President Trump’s Golden Era agenda for the American people, this budget resolution is the illuminated path,” said Congressman Higgins.

As outlined in the HFC “218 Plan,” the Emergency Border Control Resolution provides instruction for $200 billion in new funding to rebuild America’s military, secure our border, and end the immigration crisis. This plan also instructs committees to slash $486 billion in failed Biden policies and wasteful spending, resulting in $286 billion in real deficit reduction over 10 years. The resolution would also raise the debt ceiling by $4 trillion to provide long-term stability and ensure Democrats cannot use it as leverage against President Trump.
