Congressman Higgins amendment would strike language from the massive spending bill, rescind 72B from the IRS and 50B of unspent COVID money, and effectively extended the default threat through August, giving conservative Republicans time to force through more of the meaningful fiscal reforms that were included in the Limit, Save, Grow Act, which Higgins fully supported.
“My amendment was blocked in Rules Committee. All Freedom Caucus Amendments were blocked,” said Congressman Higgins. “However, I am undaunted, and I shall continue to fight for reduced spending and fiscal reform in DC.”
