WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) today announced an upcoming change to his leadership team, naming Andrew David as his new Chief of Staff (COS).

Kathee Facchiano, Congressman Higgins’ longtime COS, will be departing Capitol Hill after 20 years of dedicated federal service for members of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.

“After prayer and reflection, I have decided that this is the right time to retire from federal service. I look forward to spending more time with my family,” said Kathee Facchiano. “It has been both an honor and a privilege working with Congressman Higgins, the entire team, and my home district for the last six years. I will continue to offer my support in any way that I can.”

“I have been honored to serve alongside Kathee for six years. She has been a strong leader and an instrumental part of our office’s success. We are sad to see Kathee leave and excited for her as she enters a new chapter,” said Congressman Higgins. “Andrew has been a critical part of our team since 2017. He’s from Lake Charles, knows Louisiana, and brings with him many years of experience on Capitol Hill. I have complete confidence in Andrew as we continue our mission to serve the citizens of South Louisiana.”

Andrew David will take over the COS role effective January 1, 2023. Andrew has been part of Congressman Higgins’ team since 2017, serving most recently as communications director and deputy chief of staff.

Before joining Congressman Higgins’ office, Andrew worked as a communications advisor for Gulf Partyline Corporation, a consulting and information technology company that serves legislative and political professionals. Andrew also worked on U.S. Congressman Garret Graves’ successful campaign for Louisiana’s 6th District in 2014.

A native of Lake Charles, Andrew is an alumnus of Louisiana State University and earned his Master of Public Administration from the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business. He resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife Holly.
