WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) will address the Texas Energy Forum in Houston, TX on August 3, 2022. Congressman Higgins will discuss the role of America’s LNG industry in the energy security of the United States and our allies.
“Louisiana and Texas share an amazing heritage and our common goals include economic prosperity built on the cornerstone of abundant, affordable energy resources. I look forward to addressing the 3rd Annual Texas Energy Forum this week. The LNG industry is critical to our national security and energy independence,” said Congressman Higgins. “Southwest Louisiana is the epicenter of America’s LNG industry. Export facilities in Calcasieu and Cameron parishes are major job providers and help supply clean energy product on a global scale. I will continue working at the federal level to enact policies that increase domestic production and lower costs for American families.”
The annual forum brings together government leaders, senior energy executives, and industry experts for discussions on future technologies, initiatives, and U.S. energy policies.
