WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) introduced a resolution to commemorate this year’s National Police Week and honor America’s fallen law enforcement officers.
The resolution recognizes the devotion of those who gave their lives in service of the Thin Blue Line. It notes that 73 police officers were killed in the line of duty last year, including five officers from Louisiana.

Congressman Higgins issued the following statement:
“Our resolution pays tribute to those who gave the last full measure of devotion in service to their communities. Policy at the local, state, and federal levels should reflect strong support for law enforcement, and I will always stand with my Brothers and Sisters of the Thin Blue Line.”
