WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced today that FEMA will award $21,103,809.31 to the City of Lake Charles for debris removal operations in response to Hurricane Laura. The reimbursement is made at a 100% federal cost-share.

Congressman Higgins issued the following statement:

“My office remains committed to Southwest Louisiana’s recovery needs. We are working with our federal partners to get reimbursements processed and deliver those funds directly to local government entities. This is an ongoing mission. Every day, our District and DC staff work on helping Louisiana stand back up.”
