Higgins, Delegation Urge President Trump to Approve Louisiana Disaster Declaration

LAKE CHARLES, LA – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) and members of the Louisiana congressional delegation sent a letter to President Trump today, urging him to declare a major disaster in the wake of Hurricane Laura.

“Hurricane Laura devastated homes, businesses, and public infrastructure across much of the state. We took a major hit. The entire Louisiana delegation is united in our support for a major disaster declaration, and I’m prayerful that President Trump will quickly approve the State’s request. While we face a long path to recovery, our people are strong. Together, we’ll make it through this and stand Louisiana back up.”
