LAKE CHARLES, LA – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) has been named the recipient of the 2019 CHRISTUS Health Eagle Award for his efforts to protect access to quality health care and support the welfare of citizens in South Louisiana.
Members of the CHRISTUS Health Louisiana leadership team presented the award at the CHRISTUS Health Washington Mardi Gras Reception last week. The annual award, now in its 19th year, is presented by CHRISTUS Health to one or more lawmakers who share the health system’s mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
In a news release, CHRISTUS Health noted, “the Congressman’s hands-on leadership approach has been exemplified by his consistent visits to South Louisiana, including a recent on-site meeting at CHRISTUS Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital.”
