Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) hosted a school safety roundtable today with representatives from school districts and law enforcement agencies across Louisiana’s 3rd District.
School superintendents and regional law enforcement representatives offered feedback on federal legislative efforts and the need for resources in each parish. Higgins discussed his two school safety bills, the School Resource Officer Assessment Act (H.R. 5242) and the School Watch & Tactics (SWAT) Act (H.R. 5523), which he introduced earlier this year.
