WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) issued the following response to passage of H.R. 3219, the Make America Secure Appropriations Act for FY 18.
“The national security funding bill upholds a promise to the American people to rebuild our military and secure our homeland. I am proud to announce that this bill includes the highest level of funding ever for the VA, includes $1.6 billion for the border wall, and provides our Armed Forces with the largest pay raise in 8 years. This bill also makes needed investments to resurrect our crumbling military infrastructure and upgrade defense technology. We are taking real action to secure our borders and keep American families safe.”
