Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) released the following statement today on the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for FY 18.
“After a decade of cuts that slashed almost 25 percent of the defense budget, Congress is rebuilding and strengthening our military. The NDAA represents a major commitment to our Armed Forces, the world’s first line of defense against oppression, terror, and military aggression. We have a responsibility to provide those men and women with the weapons and technology that they need. This plan bolsters American defense initiatives in rapidly evolving theaters of engagement and ensures that our boots on the ground have the necessary resources to defend our homeland and keep America safe.”
