WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) issued the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s revival of President Trump’s travel ban.
“This decision is a major victory for American national security interests and efforts to protect our homeland. The threats facing our nation are menacing and real, and the status quo immigration policy falls short. President Trump’s actions to reform America’s immigration system and place a temporary restraint on foreign citizens traveling from countries known to foster radicalized Islamic jihadist terrorists are both necessary and reasonable. President Trump has kept his promise to place the interests of American citizens first, and this policy adds a much-needed layer of security to our immigration system.”
