BREAUX BRIDGE – Congressman Clay Higgins has issued a statement regarding the tragic deaths of Francine Gotch and her young daughter.
“This weekend’s severe weather has tragically taken two beautiful lives in Breaux Bridge. Please join me in prayer for the victims, their families, and all the brave first responders called to action during these storms,” said Rep. Clay Higgins. “My wife and I lived in a single wide for many years. Severe storms were always a concern. Our hearts are torn for this family.”
KATC meteorologist Rob Perillo confirmed that an EF1 tornado touched down near the area. Other mobile homes on the same plot of land were not affected.
Congressman Higgins and his staff will continue to monitor the situation and keep in close contact with local officials.
